Fresh Rock and Mulch Cleanup That Makes a Real Difference

Some beds just need a reset. Not a full overhaul - just someone to come in, pull out what doesn't belong, and lay down fresh material so everything looks intentional again. That's exactly what we were working with here.

The front decorative bed had old, tired ground cover that wasn't doing the space any favors. We pulled old roots out of the mix, brought in fresh rock, and let the existing plants - the irises, the antique decor, all of it - actually stand out the way they were meant to. When the ground cover is clean and consistent, the whole bed reads as finished instead of forgotten.

The side bed along the screened porch was a different situation. Bare soil, a few weeds creeping in, and nothing keeping moisture where it needed to be. We laid down a fresh layer of wood chip mulch across the whole run. It ties the tree, the stones, and the plantings together and cuts down on the maintenance needed to keep that area looking good week to week.

What we ended up with is a good example of what a small amount of focused work can do. No major construction, no big disruption. Just the right materials put down in the right places.
